पंपोर मुठभेड में लश्कर के टाप कमांडर उमर मुश्ताक सहित दो आतंकी ढेर

पुलवामा। जम्मू-कश्मीर में पुलवामा जिले के पंपोर इलाके के द्रंगबल में शनिवार सुबह शुरू हुई मुठभेड़ दोपहर बाद लश्कर-ए-तैयबा के टाप कमांडर उमर मुश्ताक सहित दो आतंकियों की मौत के साथ ही समाप्त हो गई।

कश्मीर रेंज के पुलिस महानिरीक्षक विजय कुमार ने बताया कि उमर मुश्ताक कश्मीर घाटी में सक्रिय दस शीर्ष आतंकियों की सूची में था। पुलिस को उसकी अरसे से तलाश थी। मुश्ताक का मारा जाना सुरक्षाबलों के लिए बड़ी कामयाबी है। उमर मुश्ताक ने ही हमारे दो सहयोगियों कांस्टेबल मोहम्मद यूसुफ और कांस्टेबल सुहैल अहमद को बगत श्रीनगर में शहीद कर दिया था। उसने उन पर तब हमला किया जब वे चाय पी रहे थे। इसके अलावा भी मुश्ताक कई आतंकी गतिविधियों में शामिल था। मारे गए आतंकियों के शवों के साथ हथियार भी बरामद किए गए हैं।

विजय कुमार ने बताया कि पूरे इलाके में तलाशी अभियान चलाने के बाद जब इस बात की पुष्टि हो गई कि इलाके में कोई और आतंकी मौजूद नहीं है तो अभियान समाप्त करने की घोषणा कर दी गई। उन्होंने कहा कि जनता के बीच भय पैदा करने और घाटी के शांतिपूर्ण माहौल को खराब करने वाले इन आतंकियों को किसी भी कीमत पर बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।

शनिवार सुबह पंपोर पुलिस को द्रंगबल क्षेत्र में लश्कर के टाप कमांडर सहित दो से तीन आतंकियों की मौजूदगी की सूचना प्राप्त हुई। इसके बाद सेना, सीआरपीएफ तथा एसओजी की एक संयुक्त टीम ने पूरे क्षेत्र की घेराबंदी करते हुए तलाशी अभियान शुरू किया। क्षेत्र में छिपे आतंकियों ने सुरक्षाबलों को पास आते देखकर फायरिंग की, जिसके बाद शुरू हुई मुठभेड़ में सुबह ही सुरक्षाबलों ने एक आतंकी को मार गिराया। इस बीच सुरक्षाबलों ने दोपहर बाद लश्कर के टाप कमांडर उमर मुश्ताक को भी मारने में सफलता हासिल कर ली। हालाकि आतंकियों की मौत से पहले सुरक्षाबलों ने उन्हें आत्मसर्म्पण का मौका दिया, लेकिन वे नहीं माने और उन्होंने फायरिंग जारी रखी। सुरक्षाबलों ने आतंकियों के शवों के साथ हथियार तथा अन्य संदिग्ध सामान बरामद किया है।
