विश्व शौचालय दिवस पर पूरे देश में जल शक्ति मंत्रालय का अभियान शुरू

नई दिल्ली : केंद्र सरकार ने विश्व शौचालय दिवस पर देशभर में ‘हमारा शौचालय, हमारा भविष्य’ अभियान शुरू किया है। इस अभियान के तहत 10 दिसंबर तक ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में समुदायिक और घरेलू शौचालयों की कार्यक्षमता जांच, मरम्मत, सौंदर्य सुधार, संचालन व्यवस्था मजबूत करने और व्यापक जन जागरूकता कार्यक्रम चलाए जाएंगे। यह अभियान स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण के तहत बने शौचालयों की स्थिरता और ग्रामीण स्वच्छता प्रणाली को मजबूत करने पर केंद्रित है।

 

केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्रालय के अनुसार, अभियान का मुख्य फोकस समुदायिक शौचालय परिसरों और घरों में बने शौचालयों की स्थिति का मूल्यांकन, आवश्यक सुधार कार्य और स्वच्छता व्यवहार को बढ़ावा देना है। विद्यालयों और ग्रामीण समुदायों में स्वच्छता, मल प्रबंधन, जलवायु अनुकूल स्वच्छता प्रणाली और सेवा प्रोटोकॉल के बारे में जागरूकता गतिविधियां आयोजित की जाएंगी। जन भागीदारी के माध्यम से सम्पूर्ण स्वच्छता बनाए रखने का लक्ष्य तय किया गया है।

 

अभियान के लिए ग्राम पंचायत से लेकर जिला स्तर तक जिम्मेदारियां तय की गई हैं और सभी सम्बंधित विभागों को सक्रिय भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। जागरूकता गतिविधियों के लिए राज्यों से स्थानीय प्रमुख व्यक्तित्वों, पद्म पुरस्कार विजेताओं, पूर्व सैनिकों, वरिष्ठ नागरिकों, युवा समूहों और विद्यालयी बच्चों को शामिल करने का अनुरोध किया गया है। अभियान में स्वच्छता कर्मियों का सम्मान और पात्र परिवारों को शौचालय स्वीकृति पत्र वितरण भी शामिल है।

 

उल्लेखनीय है कि स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण की शुरुआत साल 2014 में हुई थी और साल 2019 तक 11 करोड़ से अधिक शौचालय देशभर में बनाए जा चुके हैं। मिशन के दूसरे चरण की शुरुआत 2020 में हुई जो खुले में शौचमुक्त स्थिति की स्थिरता और गांवों को ओडीएफ प्लस मॉडल गांव में बदलने पर केंद्रित है। अभियान अवधि के दौरान राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों को इन तंत्रों को और मजबूत करने के लिए कहा गया है।
